Member of Technical Staff

Member of Technical Staff who can build end-to-end AI agent systems for financial compliance, owning browser agents, backend infrastructure, ML/data pipelines, and product features that automate AML, KYC, KYB, and transaction monitoring workflows for banks and fintechs, with a high bar for reliability, edge cases, and production quality, working on-site in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Build AI agents that work inside browsers, APIs, and internal systems like human analysts
• Design and ship browser agents that navigate legacy systems, government portals, and third-party platforms
• Build agent behaviors involving clicking, scrolling, DOM understanding, computer vision, unstructured data interpretation, and adaptation to interface changes
• Architect backend systems and product features end-to-end
• Optimize ML pipelines and agentic workflows in production
• Build distributed inference, caching, queue orchestration, and self-healing data pipelines on AWS
• Support sub-second risk decisions across large-scale transaction and entity data
• Contribute to a global risk intelligence graph connecting people, companies, entities, and signals across languages and regulations
• Build deep research pipelines that reduce hallucinations and prevent entity mix-ups
• Experiment with the latest models and design novel agentic workflows
• Make technical decisions with limited information and clearly communicate tradeoffs and blockers
• Ship fast with minimal meetings and minimal process
• Build systems trusted by financial institutions handling high-stakes compliance workflows

Required Skills

• End-to-end product engineering ability across backend systems, ML/data pipelines, and product features
• Strong ability to build reliable production systems with robust error handling
• Experience working on AI agents, LLM workflows, ML systems, automation systems, or complex backend platforms
• Ability to architect and ship vertical features independently
• Comfort with ambiguity, fast iteration, and limited process
• Strong communication around technical tradeoffs, blockers, and decisions
• High bar for correctness and reliability in high-stakes systems
• Strong problem-solving ability on hard technical problems without obvious existing answers
• Ability to move quickly while maintaining quality
• Interest in building AI agent capabilities in production
• Preference for building, productivity, and shipping code over meetings

Preferred Skills

• Experience building browser agents or automation systems that interact with web applications
• Computer vision, DOM understanding, or web automation experience
• Experience with AWS distributed systems
• Experience with inference systems, caching, queues, and data pipelines
• Experience with financial services, fintech, compliance, AML, KYC, KYB, transaction monitoring, or risk systems
• Experience building entity resolution, deep research, or knowledge graph systems
• Experience with multilingual or cross-jurisdiction data problems
• Experience in high-trust enterprise or regulated environments
• Competitive coding, strong CS fundamentals, or PhD-level technical depth
